Christopher Shemke is a former Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney whose time in public service provided him with extensive courtroom experience and a strong foundation in criminal law. As a prosecutor, he handled a wide range of cases, gaining invaluable trial skills and a deep understanding of how the criminal justice system works from the inside out. That experience now serves as a distinct advantage for his clients as he works tirelessly to protect their rights and defend their futures.

Today, Mr. Shemke practices exclusively in the area of criminal defense, representing individuals charged with both felonies and misdemeanors. His practice is concentrated in Wayne, Oakland, Washtenaw, and Macomb Counties, where he is known for his thorough preparation, aggressive advocacy, and commitment to achieving the best possible results for his clients.

Mr. Shemke earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law after completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan–Dearborn. His education, combined with his prosecutorial background and years of defense work, have equipped him with the insight, strategy, and dedication necessary to handle complex criminal matters with skill and precision.
